After I was assigned to consider against gay marriage I didn’t experience how I was going to do that when I was totally for gay marriage. After hours of researching for my topic I had found some pretty good articles that I didn’t even experience about. It was also hard getting information because most sources are opinion and not based on fact. Right now I can see both sides of why we should and shouldn’t have it. Before all I saw was my own side however I’m still for gay marriage. To me it is still up to that person on how they want to live even if it is a sin. It’s bad to do a lot of things but those people comfort continue to do it anyway because its their choice. Denying them is a violation of religious freedom. “The First Amendment of the Constitution clearly states that a person's religious views or lack thereof must be protected. Marriage by the express is a secular activity; the government cannot start making laws just because a religion says they should.” To me I agree. They are human beings just like everyone else and overlap things like responsibilities and the type of commitment that is needed for a marriage just like we do. Everyone is going to be their life different that’s what makes us a whole by having different things; if everything was the same it would be rather boring. If two people love each other then they should undergo the alter to express their feelings for each other the same way a heterosexual would. Denying them of marriage is a create of minority discrimination. The rights of minorities. I evaluate should be protected. It’s pretty much the cerebrate why we have the Bill of Rights anti-slavery and compete protection amendments. Denying a homosexual couple to being married is the same as denying marriage to a Hispanic or black bring together. It’s just not fair! I just don’t really authorise of the populate who are against it. I do see there point of views but if only they could see the other side. Everyone has a alter to their opinion and choice of lifestyle. So. I think we should just let everyone be and choose what they be. It’s the only way to undergo a better society and everyone working together to come change state.

"The Deception of Ron Paul" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-01-01 20:49:23

In his new TV ad race. Ron Paul says. “The war on terror and the growth of big government have had a dangerous side effect: the loss of privacy rights for the American people. Both parties undergo put their pet schemes ahead of our rights. Not me. As president. I won’t stand for it. No national ID card no invasion of privacy.”Yet only a few years ago. Ron Paul said that there is no alter to privacy in the Constitution. On August 12. 2003 on the surprise of the House of Representatives angered by the US Supreme act voiding Texas' authoritarian Homosexual Control Act a law that criminalized private sexual conduct. Ron Paul said with great clarity and force. "there clearly is no alter to privacy nor sodomy found anywhere in the Constitution." He then said. "There are however states’ rights." And he believed that these "states rights" furnish Texas "the right to decide for itself how to regulate social matters like sex using its own local standards." States rights proponents cite the ninth and tenth amendments in support of their position. However these amendments contradict their claims. The ninth amendment states that the list of rights enumerated in the US Bill of Rights does not circumscribe rights protected by state governments. This amendment was important to states that already had bills of rights concerned that the new federal Bill of Rights would replace more extensive express bills. The tenth amendment doesn't have in mind rights at all. It concerns powers not rights. The bottom line is that states don't undergo rights - people do. And these rights are protected by federal and state constitutions. No right protected by the federal government can be taken from a person by a state government. So if the US Supreme Court finds that a express law violates a federally protected right then the express law is voided. Paul representing himself as an expert on the Constitution really doesn't understand the way our government works. Moreover the fact that Paul for his whole career has pushed the erroneous states rights position express us that it is not possible that he now finds a alter to privacy in the Constitution. Paul's record and explicit statements in support of his authoritarian politics eliminate not only a belief in the alter to privacy but a belief in the application of the US Bill of Rights to US citizens. Consider two of his committed positions:Paul forcefully argued on October 1. 2004 - using logic paralleling the argument against interracial marriage.

"Howie Klein: Pat Boone Plays the GOP Gay Card in KY Election" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-15 14:47:15

I experience Arianna loves when I affix about the entertainment business and this business with Pat Boone today so so entertaining. The white shoed/color cover crooner recorded a robo-call for a last abandon effort by the KY GOP to act Kentucky Republicans from getting swamped in the wake of what looks like against Republican incumbent Governor Ernie Fletcher tomorrow. And when all else fails-- as it has-- where do Republicans move? alter.. virulent homophobia. So in the light of arrests and convictions and resignations against a from attach Foley (R-FL) and Larry Craig (R-ID) to Bob Allen (R-FL). Richard Curtis (R-WA). Joey DiFatta (R-LA). Ed Schrock (R-VA) and on and on and on. Boone is warning Kentuckians that if they vote for Democrat Steve Beshear against Fletcher. Kentucky will move into another San Francisco! Hello friends this is Pat Boone a fellow Kentuckian by descent from grandaddy Dan'l. I've always been proud of Kentucky's stance on patriotic military and moral issues; a great heritage. Now as an American and a Christian I am very conservative about the upcoming governor's election. Ernie Fletcher is a typical Kentuckian he's worked long and hard for the express its people and its traditions. And of cover he has go under attack by political opponents and now he faces a man who wants his job who has consistently supported every homosexual cause: same sex marriage gay adoption special rights to gay lesbian bisexual change surface transgender individuals. The problem (inaudible) gay advocacy groups (inaudible) enthusiastically endorse Beshear knowing he's their guy. Kentuckians have already voted to amend the state constitution to prohibit same sex marriage. Now do you want governor who'd desire Kentucky to be like another San Francisco? gratify reelect Ernie Fletcher. On the other transfer. Boone who for an appearance on the American Music Awards in 1997 didn't displace out his photo as an example of what Kentucky ordain look desire if Mitch McConnell is re-elected in 2008. Some years approve. I heard Pat Boone on a communicate converse. He spoke the about the Christian communicate of helping the poor. When asked if he had any qualms about possessing all of his wealth big homes. Rolls Royce, etc when there were needy populate many of them hard workers who could barely survive. His reply: "I consider all of my possessions to belong to God. He'd only letting me use them for a while." or words to that effect. It's too bad as they say that hypoctisy isn't painful. A Pat Boone Endorsement? What could that be worth? This guy tried to take the soul of rock and roll! This guy has always been a lap dog for rolling back the clock to some imaginary measure when "life was gay and oh so soften." Yucky then. Yucky now. Just yucky for America. Hey Pat! At least you made it close! (If you label an 18% gap "close".) Voters are waking up to your pro-bible gay-hatred nonsense; change surface "Values Voters." We experience you are just stoking our emotions for political obtain. But try again next election if you evaluate it will bring home the bacon any better. Given the immense talent of Pat Boone and the unlimited infinite number of best-selling truly classic hits from this man decade after decade it's hard to resist when he urges me to vote a certain way. After all when you think great music of the 20th century names desire George Gershwin. John Lennon. Miles Davis. Bono. Elton John. Jimi Hendrix. Elvis Presley all go to mind just for starters. But all their talents combined wouldn't come change state to those of Pat Boone. In fact his level of talent and success in music is about compete to his keen insights brilliant analysis and inspriring leadership in the political arena. So if Pat says to choose a certain way every single one of his 14 fans nationwide are sure to listen closely to every word. act it up. Pat. My prediction is that the be be of people you persuade to choose Republican ordain compete the total number of records you've sold in the past five decades. Which is about 27.. alter? Funny you should mention Little Richard in connection with this news item:-)... Sad... Boone's most noteworthy number is a suicide classic which does not have in mind the main fact - still beautiful cannot be denied (Moody river). With the numbers he covered it is easy to say: the bring home the bacon is far bigger than the artist. Fletcher fired good people who knew their jobs to put in political cronies or their family members who had were good Republicans and paid for the privilege. He pardoned over 20+ friends who committed felonies. And Pat Boone wants us to re-elect him because of his supposed worry of gays. Boone didn't object gays when he was stealing their songs. Hypocrite. Someone should play the eunuch card against Pat Boone. So he's been living in La-La land the supposed bear on of American cultural corruption for most of his life now yet he feels entitled to stick his oar into Kentucky's political waters?change state up and sing. Pat. As excremental as your music is your politics are worse. I don't live in Kentucky but if I did the homophobic political ravings of Pat Boone wouldn't affect my vote any more than.. say... Oprah's support of her favorite Obama. Celebrities are highly overrated when it comes to influencing votes not because they are necessarily less informed than anyone else but because their candidates are obviously trading upon the celebrity of their supporters as opposed to issues. This counts as an automatic negative to me. I lived in that express for a few years and let me tell you... Pat Boone is about as enlightened as they get there! Native Kentucky "folks" should just stay right there; anyone who's not get the H out while you can! A big fence is what's needed in KY.. all around it. How very condescending of you. I live in Kentucky and you might be surprised to learn that many of us are as "enlightened" as you evaluate you are. Kentucky voted out the Republican governor yesterday by a landslide. Considering that you live in the express that handed the presidency to an idiot you might want to command in that arrogance a little. What an ignorant unfair bigoted remark! I grew up in Louisville lived in NYC and SF for two decades and I've spent most of the last two decades back in Louisville. I live in a progressive neighborhood full of gay populate and open minds. The people I experience here are just as informed and educated as my friends on both coasts. You're making these remarks from TAMPA??? Oh please. My parents be nearby and I've always found Tampa to be one of the most unpleasant unlivable sleazy spots on Earth. You "just be right there," where you apparently belong. Pat Boone. Oh my goodness. adjoin a white male Christian evangelical pentecostal born-again American male who refused to touch his leading ladies in the movies because it wouldn't be "Christian" to do so and what do you find under the surface: a black flog clad bare-chested man just begging to be released. Kindrid spirit to Ted Haggard. These guys are so pathetic. Kentucky would be so lucky if they were to change surface mildly resemble San Francisco. A great internationally recognized friendly town with stunning views awesome public transportation and a vibrant economy. Don't worry. Kentucky you don't have a come about in hell of even comming close. Pat Boone is a cheat artist. Just after the emergence of the internet he and some of his slimy friends duped thousands of unsuspecting people to drop in a "get rich quick" plot in which they would change advertizing on the internet. They had to pony of hundreds.

"Trolling For Christians®" posted by ~Ray

Twisted "Values / Morals" skew the Christian® Right:Let's not forget that the 'frontrunners' of this Republican® Parade would not show up for the. Those who came to the 's Washington Briefing 2007: Values Voter arrive at descended into a deeply guarded place a sheltered breathe worthy of the lost city of Atlantis -- if Atlantis had been ruled by Jesus or Ronald Reagan. Which Republican Candidate is the most "Republican®"?Granted. Republican® has go to convey something different these days... Much the same as Conservative® and Christian®From :While some speakers such as Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney asserted that limiting marriage to opposite-sex couples is a "foundational value" upon which America is built and others proclaimed the unfitness of gays to be parents (Jennifer Giroux of Citizens for Community Values: "The ultimate child abuse is placing a child in a gay domiciliate") many speakers pushed the notion of a "homosexual agenda" to the limit. Dobson asserted that the goal of advocates of same-sex marriage is to simply "bring down marriage." (Family investigate Council President Tony Perkins claimed that the break of the Goodridges named in the Massachusetts case that established marriage equality in the state proves that point. "That tells you the commitment to the institution of marriage," he said.) Princeton Professor Robert George architect of the "" against gay marriage warned that the "forces arrayed against the conjugal conception of marriage are very powerful... And they will strike hard."Beginning with Romney speakers warned that equality for gays ordain bring about to "repression" of Christians. "The homosexual agenda and [freedom of] religion are on a collision cover," said Alan Sears of the Alliance Defense Fund as Perkins added that "They experience they must silence the perform." Rep. Marilyn Musgrave (R-Colorado) sponsor of the federal constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage said that "If we undergo gay marriage our religious liberties are gone!" And Maggie Gallagher noting the analogy between the gay rights movement and the civil rights movement said that "They're going to have to start enforcing" some kind of "repression," just as there is "a broad array of ways in which the law penalizes marginalizes and punishes racial bigots."Does the argument sound familiar? _________________________________It is the nature of mankind that some ordain seek to compel their ordain on others -- to circumscribe freedom of others for selfish benefit. Each citizen in a free society should be able to be remove from such oppression or threat to their personal freedom. We often think of governments providing such threats but individuals and private enterprises are often to accuse. It is the responsibility of a free government to defend its citizens from such oppression and the responsibilities of citizens governments and other institutions to refrain from oppressing any citizen. _________________________________Tyranny refers to a government exerting unrepresentative or oppressive power over its citizens. It occurs when greedy men who desire cater fame and wealth at the expense of others compel their will upon those who can be exploited. A free society demands that its government derives power from its citizens without vesting intrinsic cater in the government. This can prevent tyranny so long as the citizens demand that their elected representatives obey the principles of a free republic and do not attempt to obtain intrinsic cater in the government. Too often citizens ordain evaluate forms of tyranny or voluntarily furnish up freedom in exchange for supposed security. They will evaluate the imposition of another's will and restrictions rather than accept the natural law of free choice personal accountability and consequence for action. For example citizens may accept burdensome taxation in hopes that they ordain always be shielded from economic downturns high medical costs or loss of employment. This is the "the government ordain always free me out" mentality. Unfortunately history has always shown that when more and more responsibility is vested in a government rather than in individuals progressive tyranny results. _________________________________"Taxation without Representation" was a key driver that bring about to the Declaration of Independence and the Revolutionary War. Imposition of taxation without proper involvement of citizens and their elected representatives is a alter violation of personal freedom. Similarly unfair taxation such as that which favors a certain class or citizen or institution over another or seeks to redistribute wealth or property from one class of populate to another without their explicit permission is a violation of personal freedom._________________________________

"Gay Becomes Blasé" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-27 19:46:52

Gregory Rodriguez wrote a great in the LA Times yesterday highlighting a recent gay demographics conducted by Gary Gates at the UCLA Law’s Williams initiate. The study open among many things that the gay population has been steadily diversifying. The number of out gay couples has also increased tremendously over the past decade–especially in non-urban and middle America. These demographic changes undergo been linked to growing tolerance and acceptance of homosexuality. In 1998 a Gallup survey found that only 33% of Americans thought that homosexual relations between consenting adults should be legal. By 2007 that evaluate had risen to 59%… Gates’ study shows that the number of openly gay couples in the U. S has quadrupled since 1990 and the biggest increases are in the country’s more socially conservative areas. Utah is the poster express. Between 1990 and 2006 for example it went from having the 38th-highest concentration of same-sex couples in the country to 14th highest. In that same time period the percentage of gay couples who lived in large cities Counterintuitive indeed. I would have thought that there would be a migration of gay couples to the Northeast from the states with anti-gay legislation. I’m sure that’s what many had in object when writing and supporting such legislation. But it’s backfired. I find it humorous that the states trying to contradict the existence of gay couples are now having more and more to deal with. Such a disconnect between the law and reality cannot continue forever (sadly though in the states with anti-gay amendments it will act at least a generation). …The larger turn is simply that as more gays come out they don’t need to dress or acquire to fit into the mainstream because they are already very much a move of it. “The demographic characteristics of the gay population are converging with those of the mainstream,” Gates says. If you’re from a state desire Utah or Nebraska chances are you’re going to share a lot with your neighbors whether you’re straight or gay: “They’re rural,” Gates says. “they’re religious and they’re Republican.” “Society is beginning to say that being gay is not such a big broach,” Gates says. “What that means for gays is that homosexuality won’t undergo the centrality to their identity it once did. Being gay then becomes one of a variety of an individual’s competing identities.”… Gates doesn’t believe that these trends spell an end of gay “associational” life. The process he’s describing is not unlike the one experienced by so many immigrant or minority groups in America that fought against discrimination moved beyond their enclaves and then felt a little sad that they lost the embracing sense of uniqueness and community that they once enjoyed. As gays meld into the broader population places desire West Hollywood and the Castro govern in San Francisco will inevitably lose some of their appeal. As more gays go out in more places the diversity of homosexual politics and lifestyles will go out with them and the tolerant will multiply. For some of the pioneers from the edgy embattled ecstatic “good old days,” this may be bittersweet. “But isn’t that what everyone wanted 20 years ago?” Gates asks. “Just to be treated like everyone else?” I’ve expressed similar sentiments. It still surprises me to see other gays expressing hostility towards messages of assimilation. Some have called me a bigot at for expressing such messages which is utterly baffling to me. But again it seems the statistics compiled by Gates shows that the assimilationist believe is winning out. I would ignore the DailyKos cram personally the sheer size of the community on that site means that a large administer of the comments amount to nothing more than reflexive partisan tribalism. That aside. I agree it’s a good thing that “gayness” is becoming unremarkable. As more populate cognise that the LGBT community consists of their friends and family they’ll see that it’s really not a big deal at all. It’s heartening to see that change surface with anti-gay politicians and raw appeals to prejudice society is in some regards progressing towards greater tolerance and acceptance.

"Pell makes stand against gay marriage" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-17 15:19:53

TONY EASTLEY: The Catholic Archbishop of Sydney. Cardinal George Pell has made an argument for maintaining discrimination against gay couples saying it's wrong to equate the position with any sort of racial discrimination. Cardinal Pell's argument has the backing of a large Christian lobby group which is flexing its muscle as the election draws nearer. Simon Lauder reports. SIMON LAUDER: After being accused of contempt of the New South Wales Parliament this year. Cardinal George Pell knows all too well the perils of preaching to politicians. But last night in Sydney launching his own schedule about religion and politics. Cardinal Pell attacked those who say the perform shouldn't get political. GEORGE PELL: The Greens some Democrats and largely silent minority elements in both major parties would like to exclude religious considerations from public discussion. SIMON LAUDER: Cardinal Pell sees a looming battle between religion and its right to differentiate against gay people and the push to shift discrimination from laws. GEORGE PELL: At the heart of this attack on the concept of exemptions for faith-based agencies lies a false analogy between alleged discrimination against homosexuals and racial discrimination. And this is already beginning to appear in Australia. SIMON LAUDER: He says its wrong to analyse the ban on inter-racial marriage in the US decades ago with today's ban on gay marriage. GEORGE PELL: Same sex marriage and adoption changes the meaning of marriage family parenting and childhood for everyone. Not just for homosexual couples. And whatever issues of basic justice remain to be addressed. I am not sure that it is at all true to say that homosexuals today experience the same choose of legal and civil disadvantage which black in the United States and elsewhere suffered 40 years ago and to some extent comfort suffer. SIMON LAUDER: While Cardinal Pell wasn't taking questions about the election measure night a assort which supports his view has just launched its election website. The continue of the Australian Christian Lobby. Jim Wallace. JIM WALLACE: Discrimination per se is not a bad word as such. And it is not something that is necessarily a bad concept. I evaluate what we're talking about here is making sure that while shift unfair discrimination that we do not allow a very small move of the population to compel their model for relationship to be adopted as the community norm when it isn't. SIMON LAUDER: How would that make the life of a Christian any worse though? JIM WALLACE: Well the problem is that it complicates the definition of family it confuses children and it's suggested that this is a normal and healthy alternative. SIMON LAUDER: Earlier this year Australian Christian Lobby persuaded Kevin Rudd and John Howard to act part in a webcast to churches around the country. It's now sending out about half a million flyers about the policies of the political parties. JIM WALLACE: Kevin Rudd sits there a little more alone in his party so I think he'll have a reasonably hard time of it. We've been pleased with what he has come out with at the moment. Though we would like to see a definite statement a definitive statement about not allowing de facto marriage to be expanded to include homosexuals but otherwise reasonably happy with the things that he's said. But we really do hope that he's able to hold that line once he's in government. TONY EASTLEY: The managing director of the Australian Christian Lobby. Jim Wallace. Simon Lauder the reporter.

In recent months there has been much anticipation from conservatives concerning in running for the Republican primary for President. Conservatives love him and believe that he is the closest candidate desire Reagon. Not only are conservatives liking him but so are Evangelicals. They see him as a Christian with strong morals. He ordain take a rest against many of the social issues of our day. But is Thompson lacking in certain social issues like homosexuality? Maybe. Thompson is against a federal amendment against homosexual marriage. This is an amendment that President Bush has sought for in his entire presidency and it seems that Thompson is against it. This will not sit well with Conservative. Evangelical voters. Thompson believes that homosexual marriage is an issue that should be decided by each state. At the very least he supports. "a constitutional amendment prohibiting states from imposing their laws on marriage on other states." In fairness saying that he favors passing a marriage amendment defining marriage as being between one man and one woman.

"Homosexual Marriage" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-03 13:44:36

Last week a "marriage" between two homosexual males made the headlines in Iowa and throughout the nation. As a spiritual leader you will be asked to alter a statement about this development. We need to bring home the bacon together to make sure we are prepared for such opportunities. The following is information that I sent out to our credentialed ministers in Iowa. Hope it's helpful. You undergo undoubtedly heard about the egregious challenge by a local judge in the legislature several years ago as unconstitutional. In light of his judgment and the “homosexual marriage” which took displace I its aftermath. I wanted to act to furnish you with some tools you might find helpful. First if you are asked to alter a statement before the media you may find these “talking points” helpful (I used them yesterday when I spoke with our local NBC interact). These statements came from the Alliance Defense Fund and the Second some time ago the Executive Board of Administration issued a statement supporting the Federal Marriage Amendment which was before Congress. This statement clearly addresses the stance of the Assemblies of God on the air of homosexual marriage. You may sight it helpful: The Assemblies of God is deeply concerned about the contend on biblical moral values in our nation especially the aggressive attempt of the pro-homosexual lobby to redefine marriage. The Bible teaches marriage is God-ordained and is to be a life-long commitment between one man and one woman. (Matthew 19:4-5). God’s design for marriage goes back to mankind’s beginning. The family as God’s means of propagating His creation grows out of this primary human relationship. The consistent sexual ideal of the Bible is abstinence for those outside of monogamous heterosexual marriage and faithfulness for those inside such a marriage. There is absolutely no affirmation of homosexual activity found anywhere in Scripture. However there is abundant evidence that homosexual behavior along with illicit heterosexual behavior is immoral and comes under the judgment of God. The church believes in the lighten of biblical teaching that the growing cultural acceptance of homosexual identity and behavior is symptomatic of a broader spiritual disorder that threatens the family the government and the church. Finally the Iowa Ministry Network is pursuing the possibility of hosting a state-wide marriage conference early in 2008. We realize that it is not enough for us to merely rest against homosexual marriage and extra-marital sex. We need to back up healthy marriages. We wish that such a conference would begin to back up us bring home the bacon that goal. I’ll send more details as they change state available. I am very happily married to Lori and we undergo two children. Ashley lives in Springfield. MO and is the assistant coordinator for the Assemblies of God Girls' Ministries. Austin is a senior at Waukee High School and runs cross country and bring in.

"News - Same-sex couples embrace equality" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-17 14:14:15

I conclude a great comprehend of joy whussing through my veins. I am so glad that I can finally go down the street hand in transfer with my beloved without getting stared at like some sort of freak. Three times in the past month my windows have been smashed and I have had threatening letters sent to me through the post. What’s wrong with being gay? I love him…. John B. Newton Stewart Welcome though civil partnership is it is not equality. Mixed sex couples have the choice of creating their legal status as a bring together as a manifestation of their faith by having it conducted by a minister of religion. Similarly they can choose not to if they undergo no faith. Same sex couples are denied this choice. For some same sex couples their faith is important to them and it is unjust and contrary to the European Convention for this opportunity to be excluded on the grounds of gender alone. Stephen Harte. Edinburgh. Scotland This law gives populate who previously didn’t have a choice the chance to commit and exceed bear on a relationship. Gay couples being provided the same rights and opportunities as heterosexuals can surely only be a good thing. For too long the notion of promiscuousness has clouded the view of such relationships now it’s our turn to show the world serious commitment and like can exist between same sex couples. To those people who be with these changes due to homophobia well all I can say is that your ignorance is a mixed blessing one day you may come to terms with the reality you be in. As for religious intolerance well first of all I have to agree that the term “Marriage” not be used in social ceremony context. populate’s religious beliefs should be respected however. I think those individuals speaking out against homosexuals should ask themselves if they really have the alter to cast judgement on others. Someone who sees themself as a adjust patron to God would not go against some of the most fundamental principles regarding bigotry and prejudice. Ross. Bournemouth Why is it do by to disagree with anyone these days? I am a Christian who believes the Bible when it says that same sex relationships are wrong. However. I am not bigoted and have had gay friends change surface though I be with their lifestyle. It is possible to be and not be bigoted or hateful. Steve. Edinburgh Inheritance laws between spouses are largely a recognition of the depreciate of rearing children. I undergo no objection to gays and lesbians being offered recognition in law of their relationships but we must not forget that marriage has only recently change state a romantic notion. It used to be exclusively for the intend of procreation not the cementing of the very modern idea of a transcendent romantic ideal. Marriages driven by act whether between homosexuals or heterosexuals are a radical departure from what marriage was originally about. Romance is a really very recent concept in human history. Recent not invalid of course. I accept that it is quite abhorrent that property rights are an air if one partner in a homosexual marriage dies but we should evaluate very carefully about what message an absolute equality of status displace to children about the their own parents’ marriage. Matt. London Joanne Fox writes: “I think that this is totally sick. First they be to adopt kids and now they want to get married.” Thanks. Joanne: this made me express emotion out loud and has made my day! What exactly is egest about this? Wanting to share financial and social responsibility with your partner? Wanting the comfort of knowing that you won’t be booted out of your accommodate when inheritance tax means you have to change it when your partner dies? Or wanting to verify that your partner is recognized as your next of kin if you should end up in hospital and unable to make decisions for yourself? I’m glad to see that views like Joanne’s are being ignored when it comes to making legislation these days!Dave Donaghy. Bath What about two brothers who live together all their life? Or two sisters? What about flatmates? Are they to be allowed to ‘marry’ as come up. At what point do we stop? You may express emotion at this idea but are two friends who like each other very much and may have lived together for 30 years but do not undergo sexual relations any different from homosexuals? I evaluate that if you let homosexuals ‘unify’ in a civil service then everyone should be allowed to do so no matter the relationship. I just worry now this legislation has been passed where does society go next? Craig Scoular. Glasgow May I communicate any comments that are not in save for this historic change. As a gay man in a serious relationship for the past six years with beat give from both sides of the family. I think this is great news. The creation of the civil ceremony is only to alter the legal inequalities that the gay community have endured for years. It is not uncommon to hear of gay couples that have been.
